Amy Moffat MPT, BSc.
Hi, I’m Amy.
Movement has always been an important part of my life. I grew up playing competitive soccer and have since explored other adventures including climbing, mountain biking, running, dancing, gardening, yoga, weightlifting, surfing, hiking, downhill and cross country skiing, and snowboarding among others!
As a physiotherapist, I am passionate about helping people go beyond having less pain to getting back to what gives you purpose and meaning. Whether it is knitting, pickleball or downhill mountainbiking, I’m a true believer that movement is medicine and see first hand how much movement can improve the quality of life of my patients.
I take a whole person, systems-based approach to care. I look at the whole picture, not just your injury - your sleep, stress and movement because it all matters for your goals. So don’t be surprised if in addition to your pain scores, I also ask you about sleep or stress and movement (or other) goals.
If I had to define my focus, it is to help you move from injury or feeling deconditioned to truly thriving, with sustainable long-term changes that support a healthy, active, and joyful life.
After graduating from UBC in 2012 with a Masters in Physiotherapy, I have taken additional training in manual therapy, ConnectTherapy, trigger point dry needling and acupuncture, TMD (jaw) management, women’s health, exercise prescription and running assessments.
If you aren’t sure what you need to book or if you’re looking for something specific, please reach out and I can help direct you within my booking system or within the health care community.
